From groomed trails and powder fields to the permanent snowboard fun park, you are sure to enjoy the Europa-Sportregion with the lakeside town of Zell am See in its centre. A large interconnecting ski circuit provides challenging and enjoyable skiing for skiers of all levels. The glacier ski area, the Kitzsteinhorn, extends to 3029 meters above sea level, guaranteeing excellent conditions right up until the end of the season.

On The Slopes

Our groups usually link in to the ski area at the Areitalm, an area easily accessed from our hotels by coach or free ski bus.

Zell am See offers a wide range of skiing suitable for all standards and benefits from an excellent interconnecting lift system.

Beginners normally commence at the bottom of the Schmittenhöhe cable car or on the gentle nursery slopes in Schüttdorf, where there are also blue and red runs.

The Glocknerlift offers further blue runs plus the opportunity for more advanced skiers to linkschool skiing zell am see austria skiplanin to exciting black runs with breathtaking views of the resort and lake.

Kaprun, the glacier resort, is just 20 minutes away and offers a further 50km of skiing as well as superb views of Salzburg Province and Tyrol.

Adventurous skiers can test their skills on challenging World Cup Downhill courses, in particular the 4km Trass run down to Breiteckalm.


Off The Slopes

Zell am See has an excellent sports centre with an indoor fun pool, water slides, bowling and an outdoor ice rink. Groups can also enjoy fondue parties or visit the local 'Konditorei' for delicious hot chocolate and cakes!
