The ski domain of Vars/Risoul offers an amazing array of opportunities for skiers of all calibre. The resorts form part of the Forêt Blanche, one of the largest ski circuits in the Southern French Alps, with 180kms of marvellous piste including a well-equipped snowboard park. On The Slopes
Our lift pass includes all 55 lifts and 180kms of the Forêt Blanche, covering both Vars and Risoul.
Uncrowded and unspoilt, the seemingly endless variety of skiing will keep even the most experienced skiers happy. Beginners are well catered for with large nursery slopes and gentle green runs to help build confidence. Pupils will quickly progress to the gondola or chairlifts which open up a wonderful variety of blue runs back down to village level. From Vars Les Claux the rapid Chabrières télécabine whisks skiers to a high plateau served by drag lifts.
The area is a paradise for intermediates with 37 red and numerous green and blue runs. There are many long runs for all grades, some leading down as far as Vars St Marie. From the top of L'Homme de Pierre, it is possible to complete a circuit around the bowl of Risoul.
For advanced skiers, the area has ten black runs and many off-piste possibilities. Runs such as Les Vautours and L'Epervier are steep enough for experts.
Off The Slopes
Off the slopes groups can enjoy the good range of shops, cafés and bars in addition to the natural ice skating rink and disco. Groups are also able to travel to Briançon for bowling and swimming.
