On The Slopes
Sunday River's award winning resort design and high speed lifts provide
clear, simple and quick access to it's 128 beautifully groomed runs. There
is a wide range of skiing for all abilities over the resort's 8 peaks with a
dedicated 'learn to ski' area at the South Ridge Base lodge which offers
beginner skiers an array of different routes to build their skills and
confidence. As they progress, beginner skiers can access virtually every
part of the mountain via a number of well linked mountain roads which
criss-cross the resort.
Intermediate skiers will also love the ego flattering wide open cruising
runs that meander down Spruce Peak and Barker Mountain. The journey to
Jordan Bowl offers beautiful views coupled with long runs and wide, well
cleared glade skiing.
The more experienced will love the huge variety of glade skiing on offer
across the resort before heading to White Cap Peak and launching themselves
down the white knuckle ride which is "White Heat".
For snowboarders and freeriders, there are four terrain parks featuring
superpipe, table tops and rail-slides. Try the Zaugg-cut Superpipe,
Bombardier BR 275 Terrain Master with park tiller and blade.
Off The Slopes
A huge array of on mountain and nearby activities such as the tubing Park - take a few rides down High Roller or Twister, two exciting lift-serviced tubing runs. Or, lace up the skates and hit the ice on the lighted ice skating rink. Firework displays and bonfires throughout the season.
