Known affectionately by the locals as "The Loaf" due to its striking resemblance to an iced bun, Sugarloaf USA is renowned for offering the most challenging skiing in New England. This excellent resort provides a playground for all levels of skier and boarder.
On The Slopes
The Briches and Landing beginner areas are adjacent to virtually all our
Sugarloaf properties and offer open, gently sloping trails.
Beginners can explore the mountain through a great selection of trails, such as the
"Boardwalk" and "Windrow", before heading to the top of "The Loaf" to take
Upper Timberline which connects to a series of green runs down the Mountain.
Intermediates develop their technique on a great range of exciting
slopes."Tote Road" and "Upper Springboard" offer well groomed runs that
allow skiers to progress to black diamond runs such as "Haul Back" and
"Sheer Boom" that run below the Sugarloaf Superquad™ high speed chair.
A real mecca for advanced skiers, "The Snowfields" at the summit of "The
Loaf" offer the only above tree-line skiing in New England. Take a ride down
the "Powder Keg" chute to experience the great natural snowfalls. The wide
range of steep, gully, birch and softwood glades will allow advanced skiers
to reach their limit.
Sugarloaf is truly the place to be for snowboarders with the biggest half
pipe in the USA, which regularly hosts World Championship events and Board "Expos".
