St. Johann is a small, friendly and picturesque town situated between the towering Kitzbüheler Horn and the majestic Wilden Kaiser mountains.
There's a vibrant cosmopolitan atmosphere, yet the resort retains all the charm of a picture postcard Tyrolean village. With many north-facing slopes, the resort boasts a good snow record and is an excellent choice for school groups of mixed ability skiers. On The Slopes
St. Johann has 60km of piste with wide runs which are mainly north and west facing. This attractive resort has an excellent snow record, with excellent skiing progression for beginners.
Beginners will soon be able to attempt the more challenging runs below the second section of the main gondola back down to the resort.
Intermediate skiers will also find plenty of scope and your lift pass gives you access to skiing at 6 nearby skiing villages including the Steinplatte (Waidring), Fieberbrunn and Pillerseetal. It also features the German resort of Reit im Winkl. Throughout the eleven resorts, there is a wonderful range of skiing with something to suit all abilities.
Off The Slopes
There is plenty of après ski too with a newly renovated sports centre including indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym. There's also ice skating, bowling and sleigh rides.
