New York

New York is arguably the most vibrant and exciting city in the world, leaving visitors wondering where to start! With good forward planning it is possible to take a sizeable bite out of the "Big Apple", and digest a good deal of this heady multi-racial, ethnic and cultural cocktail.

A centre for learning and the arts, New York boasts some of the world's best museums and art galleries, plus 42,000 Broadway theatre seats! The Manhattan district consists of several distinctly different areas, each with its own appeal. From South to North:

Midtown - Noted for its famous buildings, and even more famous shops!

Besides featuring renowned museums and art galleries, there are also a variety of restaurants and shops that reflect the City's great ethnic and cultural diversity. The city is easily accessible by foot, but there is a good transport system if you wish to travel further afield. Take a cable car ride to trendy Ghirardelli Square, eat in Chinatown or Italian North Beach but, don't miss the shops in Victoria Union Street! Or if you wish to take it easy, relax in one of the parks either side of the Golden Gate and admire the view from Twin Peaks.

Boston is a place which blends old-world charm with that of a modern city. Its historic sights are easily accessible by foot. Take a stroll along the "Freedom Trail" or browse around the famous "Quincy Market" with its immense range of food outlets alongside the more contemporary trendy espresso joints. Boston is truly a city that offers something for everyone. Worth a visit is Beacon Hill Boston's most affluent neighbourhood and the North End area, Boston's oldest neighbourhood, which is crammed with cafes, delicatessen and Italian restaurants.

Suggested visits: Charlestown, North End, Faneuil Hall and the college town of Cambridge just across the Charles River from Boston.

Denver...

Today Denver is one of America's fastest growing cities. The Mile High City is the gateway to the Rockies, filled with History, culture, entertainment and shopping. Amongst the many attractions is the Red Rocks ampitheatre.
