City Stopovers

A citystopover is the ideal way to start or finish your week. Why not take the opportunity to explore the amazing sights, world renowned attractions and factory outlet shopping of some of North America's most famous cities including New York, San Francisco, Boston, Edmonton, Toronto and Niagara Falls.

New York Statue of Liberty, New York, USAis arguably the most vibrant and exciting city in the world, leaving visitors wondering where to start! With good forward planning it is possible to take a sizeable bite out of the “Big Apple”, and digest a good deal of this heady multi-racial, ethnic and cultural cocktail.
A centre for learning and the arts, New York boasts some of the world’s best museums and art galleries, plus 42,000 Broadway theatre seats! The Manhattan district consists of several distinctly different areas, each with its own appeal.
Suggested visits: New York Stock Exchange, Statue of Liberty, Soho, the Rockefeller Centre -Top of the Rock, Broadway, Times Square, the Empire State Building, the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Guggenheim art gallery, Avery Fisher Hall, the New York State Theatre, and the Metropolitan Opera House.

Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, USASan Francisco is a unique and breathtaking City. Visitors have an extensive choice of excursions including the downtown 'tourist centre' Union Square, Chinatown, the Golden Gate Bridge and the popular Fisherman’s Wharf. Besides featuring renowned museums and art galleries, there are also a variety of restaurants and shops that reflect the City's great ethnic and cultural diversity. The city is easily accessible by foot, but there is a good transport system if you wish to travel further afield. Take a cable car ride to trendy Ghirardelli Square, eat in Chinatown or Italian North Beach but, don’t miss the shops in Victoria Union Street! Or if you wish to take it easy, relax in one of the parks either side of the Golden Gate and admire the view from Twin Peaks.
Suggested visits: Bay cruise around Alcatraz, Angel Island State Park, California Academy of Sciences, Golden Gate Park, Japanese Tea Garden and Coit Tower.

Boston Skyline, Philadelphia, USABoston is a place which blends old-world charm with that of a modern city. Its historic sights are easily accessible by foot. Take a stroll along the "Freedom Trail" or browse around the famous "Quincy Market" with its immense range of food outlets alongside the more contemporary trendy espresso joints. Worth a visit is Beacon Hill Boston's most affluent neighbourhood and the North End area, Boston's oldest neighbourhood, which is crammed with cafes, delicatessen and Italian restaurants.
Suggested visits: Charlestown, North End, Beacon Hill, Faneuil Hall and the college town of Cambridge just across the Charles River from Boston.

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Edmonton capital of Alberta, is one of Canada’s most visited tourist destinations. It boasts the largest shopping mall in Canada, the West Edmonton Mall – which houses 21 movie theatres, 800 shops and attractions such as World Water Park – a five acre wave pool with slides and a bungee jump, the Deep Sea Derby – bumper car rides on an indoor lake, skating at the Ice Palace and the world’s largest indoor amusement park. And all this under one roof! Staying at the West Edmonton Mall Inn you’ll be close to the action and you can finish your trip with a unique stopover.

Toronto, Canada Toronto is a city that holds all the wonders of the world in one friendly place. In downtown Toronto, a short stroll is all it takes to travel between great sports venues, the CN Tower, top theatre, endless shopping, the waterfront and inspired cuisine.
Suggested Visits: Air Canada Centre, Art Gallery of Ontario, Centreville Amusement Park, CN Tower, Harbourfront Centre, Olympic Spirit Toronto, SkyDome (Sportsco International, L.P.) and Toronto Zoo.

Niagra FallsNiagara Falls is approximately two hours away by coach Groups can explore the daring sights of the 7 mile Gorge or enjoy the 'Journey behind the Falls' walk. Visit the New York State's Reservation Park and check out the spectacular sights and sounds of the Falls from the Observation Tower just 200 feet above the Gorge.
Suggested visits: The Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Visitor Centre at Prospect Point, Niagara Aquarium, Project Visitor Centre and Castellani Art Museum.

Snowboarding Options

All our tour prices are also valid for snowboarding including hire and lessons in most North American resorts (minimum group size of 8 students of the same ability required). However the following resorts charge the supplement shown below:

  • Winter Park £15.
  • Brighton £25.
  • Mont Ste Anne £25.
  • Stoneham £25.
  • Le Massif £15.
  • Tremblant £65

Free Place Ratios

1:10 is the usual ratio for good supervision and value. Accompanying staff are accommodated in twin or triple rooms depending on the hotel or condo. When arranging staff places it would be useful to get the correct ratio of male and female staff, so to avoid any under occupancy supplements. A 1:8 ratio can be arranged if your party requires. Please ask for a quote.
Minimum 32 full paying members.

Family Reductions

Party Leader's Spouse:
Student rate (plus adult lift supplement).
Party Leader's Children (age 2-15 yrs)
If your groups size consists of 25+ full paying members then 1 child travels with a reduction of £180. If your groups size consists of 40+ full paying members - 2nd child travels with a reduction of £180. Only available when children share room with parents.

Adult supplements/Tour Price

Adults travelling over the free place ratio will be charged a minimum supplement of £125 per person (based on twin/double occupancy). This does not include ski tuition which must be purchased in resort. Where groups comprise more than 15% full paying adults the tour price will be reviewed and automatically be subject to an increase.

6th day skiing supplements

We include 4 or 5 hours ski tuition per day i.e. 20-25 hours for the tour. An extra day’s skiing (making six days with 4 or 5 hour lessons) generally ranges between £40 and £60 per person. Note: Lift passes, tuition and equipment hire supplements vary from resort to resort.

Inspection Visits

Seeing is believing! An inspection visit is an ideal opportunity to see everything first hand and we organise several group pre-planning visits every year. To register your interest in an inspection visit please call our office.
