Located just northwest of the Continental Divide, Winter Park Resort is one of Colorado’s biggest ski resorts and an ideal choice for mixed ability groups. Over the past few years Winter Park has undergone a $40 million investment programme, enhancing the ski area with four additional chairlifts, expanding its award-winning terrain including the infamous “Mary Jane” trail, and a major base area development. With ridges, bowls and ski trails, Winter Park caters for everyone from the beginner skier to the adrenaline junkie expert.
On the slopes
Straddling the continental divide at the east end of the Fraser Valley, the area is rich in Western lore and reminders of its pioneer history. Three interconnected mountains create a microclimate, which is responsible for the fantastic snow and variety of terrain. Beginners are well catered for with a 30 acre Discovery Park which is an excellent area to learn the fundamentals in a controlled, sectioned-off area. Once up and running, Winter Park offers mile after mile of wide open intermediate slopes which are perfect for laidback cruising, designed to make you feel and look like a pro! For advanced and expert skiers the pull is the legendary steeps, deeps and moguls of Mary Jane...the locals say “No pain, no Jane!” Every standard of skier gets maximum enjoyment, as Winter Park offers everything to make a memorable ski trip an outstanding one - great snow, plenty of sunshine, a big, varied ski area and easy accessibility.
Off the slopes
With a boast of ‘real mountain, real town, real people’, groups can expect a great skiing experience with plenty of après-ski.
