Located in the glorious Green Mountains National Forest, Vermont, Mount Snow is the closest resort to New York that we feature in our programme and also a short journey from Boston. Mount Snow is a traditional compact Vermont village with a high standard of accommodation and a range of evening entertainments within easy reach. Both hotels we feature are a quick shuttle to the lifts, giving access to a wide variety of skiing for all abilities.
On the slopes
From the base lodge the skiing spreads out over 4 different but well-connected mountain areas with an excellent variety of terrain to suit all levels of skiers and boarders. Beginners have their own dedicated area on the lower section of the mountain, which includes three purely novice chair lifts. When students have gained confidence, a long green run winds its way down from the peak to base lodge, so even novices will have the chance to ski from top to bottom during their stay! For intermediates and the more advanced there are a variety of 100 yard wide trails plus the North Face which has some really challenging black diamond trails – there’s even one of the steepest slopes in New England for the fearless! There is an expansive terrain park system with a dozen separate parks, 125 features, a super pipe and a mini pipe, which are all serviced by a dedicated high-speed quad.
Off the slopes
With a cinema, bowling and outlet shopping nearby plus in-hotel evening entertainment packages, your group will have more than enough entertainment during your stay! New York is just a few hours away so many groups choose to add a city stopover to their trip and spend 24 hours sampling the sights and sounds of ‘The Big Apple’.
