Loon Mountain features a great variety of trails across 3 peaks – a range of easy greens run from the summit to base, giving the beginner skier that ‘King of the Mountain’ feeling, whilst the Big Dipper black diamond run and Mountain Terrain Park give advanced skiers and riders a thrill.
On the slopes
Nestled within the breathtaking White Mountain National Forest, Loon’s terrain has been developed to suit all abilities. Recently the mountain has widened its ski area by opening South Peak and adding two chair lifts and three new trails. Beginner can feel safe in the Family Ski Zone on Bear Claw – a slow skiing and riding area, whilst intermediates will benefit from the addition of some more challenging trails at the summit. Experts will not be left out here either with some amazing skiing on the North Peak, a selection of award-winning terrain parks plus a superpipe and half-pipe.
