Just a gondola ride from the heart of South Lake Tahoe village and overlooking the blue waters of the lake, Heavenly offers a huge variety of skiing possibilities over 4,800 acres of terrain extending across the two states of Nevada and California. With spectacular scenery, an average of 31ft of snow fall each season, combined with the famous Californian sunshine and a vast ski circuit, Heavenly really is perfect for school groups.

On the slopes

Beginners can start on the well groomed nursery slopes then enjoy the numerous excellent green runs on the Californian side, whilst intermediates will be in their element with a superb selection of blues on both sides of the state line. For the advanced skier the Heavenly area has some of the most testing mogul runs, lots of challenging blacks and plenty of off-piste skiing opportunities available. Head to the Milkyway Bowl where you will find two testing double black diamond runs.
