Set within the beauty of the Franconia Notch State Park, Cannon Mountain boasts diverse terrain with 72 trails suitable for beginners to experts. A 70-person cable car will whisk you to the summit in just 8 minutes, and pupils who don’t make it to the summit by the end of the week can take a free ride up to enjoy the views.
On the slopes
More than two-thirds of the trails off the summit are smooth, wide, blue runs with stunning views, though for those not afraid to pick up some speed, it's possible to turn with the trail like it's a natural giant slalom course, as they cut through the pine forest. The ‘Tuckerbrook Family Area’ provides 4 lifts and 13 trails within a safe environment dedicated to beginner skiers and riders. If you’re a first timer you’ll start at the top of the gentle ‘Brookside’ slope, giving you lots of room for your first turns.
