On the slopes
Alp 2500 offers a delightful variety of runs from the wide-open and well-prepared slopes of La Molina, to the exciting, forest-lined runs at Masella. With a skiing area of over 100km, Alp 2500 caters for all skiing abilities in an uncrowded, welcoming environment, under blue Catalan skies. Groups ski in Masella, offering 72 km of pistes, where beginners benefit from dedicated instruction on the seven nursery slopes before quickly building their confidence on the wide range of blues and reds. For a small supplement, mileage skiers can opt for a twin-centre pass which opens up the entire 135km circuit through to La Molina. The Telecabina dé Alp 2500 gondola facility provides a return ride in real style. From the base station at 1,600m, the slopes at Masella are nicely challenging and include 32 beginner-intermediate runs, 22 advanced runs and 8 expert runs. With the highest vertical drop in the Eastern Pyrenees at 935m and runs up to 7km long, there is plenty for all abilities.
Off the slopes
This is a quiet resort and has a traditional Spanish atmosphere. Après-ski in the resort itself is concentrated at the Hotel Alp and the neighbouring Albergue Centre which both have games rooms and private disco areas. Groups can also enjoy ice-skating and swimming in the nearby town of Puigcerda.
