Morzine is a traditional Haute Savoie village with a authentic French ambience: a good variety of shops and a weekly market. Being one of the twelve resorts that form the immense Portes du Soleil ski circuit, you can access over 600km of piste through 208 ski lifts and two countries.
On the slopes
There is excellent skiing in the immediate vicinity of Morzine, including the areas of Pleney, Nyon and Les Gets. The skiing is ideal for beginners and intermediates alike with an interesting variety of both gentle blue pistes above the tree line or similarly undulating runs that wind their way back down through the trees to the village. The ski school meeting point is at the top of Le Pleney (1,554m) from where intermediates might venture further afield towards the many blue and red runs in Les Gets. For the advanced skier reaching the top of Nyon at 2,019m you are rewarded with fine views of Mont Blanc, Lake Geneva and the surrounding villages and ski area. Advanced skiers, with the extended pass, will also appreciate the extensive domain of the Portes du Soleil and a trip to Avoriaz with the many challenging runs.
Off the slopes
The lovely village of Morzine is renowned for its good selection of bars, shops, restaurants and night spots. In addition to this there are horse-drawn sleighs, a cinema and an indoor skating rink where the French 1st division ice hockey team play. A club can be hired exclusively for our groups for early private discos during peak season. The lift pass included in our tour price covers the Morzine/Les Gets ski area. The Portes du Soleil pass, including access to Avoriaz, is available at a supplement.
