School ski trips to France don't come much better than Châtel. Châtel is a well known, typically alpine ski resort near the Swiss border. It forms part of the Portes du Soleil, one of the world's biggest ski areas, so gives masses of scope for varied school skiing. With more than 650km of piste to explore, you'll find yourself in a highly picturesque traditional village resort. There's fun for both skiers and boarders, so you enjoy great value school ski trips. Young skiers progress quickly here and towards the end of the week, instructors often take groups to nearby Pré la Joux for extra adventure. Fun packed, exhilarating school skiing!

This delightful French-run hotel has proved to be a highly popular choice for SkiPlan groups over the past five seasons.

Situated in La Chapelle d’Abondance, the journey to Châtel takes around 10 minutes by coach. La Chapelle itself has a small selection of shops and bars. The ski lifts are just 300m from the hotel but we usually recommend that you travel to Châtel where the slopes are suitable for all grades of skiers or to Pré la Joux which is popular with beginners.

There is a large restaurant and an additional room which may be used as a meeting room. There is a bar with TV and a games room with pool table and TV. Jacuzzi and sauna for teachers (extra charge).

The well furnished bedrooms sleep 2 - 6 persons with some in mezzanine style. All have bath or shower and WC and are of a high standard.
