St Johann is a small, friendly and picturesque town situated between the towering Kitzbüheler Horn and the Wilder Kaiser mountains. There’s a vibrant, cosmopolitan atmosphere, yet the resort retains all the charm of a picture postcard Tyrolean village and offers extensive skiing for all our school groups, thanks to the all-inclusive lift-pass which includes access to 11 different resorts.

On the slopes

St Johann itself has 60km of piste with wide runs which are mainly north and west facing. The attractive resort has an impressive snow record, with excellent skiing progression for beginners. Beginners will soon be able to attempt the more challenging runs below the second section of the main gondola back down to the resort. Intermediate skiers will also find plenty of scope as throughout the resort there is a wonderful range of skiing with something to suit all abilities. Choose from the 170km of pistes available, including the areas of Waidring-Steinplatte, Fieberbrunn-Hochfilaen, Pillerseetal, and the German resort of Winkl. St Johann is a fantastic choice for schools as the slopes are never over-crowded, even during peak weeks.

Off the slopes

The area offers plenty of après-ski options. St Johann is homely and within walking distance of the hotel and offers an excellent range of après-ski activities. The local sports centre includes an indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym, and nearby you can also find ice-skating, bowling and sleigh rides. Nearby Kitzbühel is well worth a visit with its cobbled streets and beautiful shops, and both towns have a wide variety of bars, shops, cafés and discos.
