The Skiarena Kärnten (Nassfeld-Hermagor) is a little known gem of a ski circuit. Located right on the border of Austria and Italy, the ski resort has a good snow record due to its high altitude (over 2000m) and comprehensive snow canon coverage.
There is also a great selection of pistes and reputedly the longest gondola in Europe: from the village of Tröpolach (610m) the new Millennium-Express gondola, carries skiers rapidly to the Madritsche at 1990m.
Choose this resort for:
Extensive skiing & snowboarding pistes for all grades.
With the introduction of the Millennium Express gondola, the access and convenience of this extensive skiing resort has never been better.
The 24 red runs in resort prove more than enough piste for intermediates to practice their skills in a varied environment.
For the more advanced skier, many of the more difficult red runs in resort will prove challenging and the 4 black runs offer an even sterner challenge.
Snowboarders are also well catered for with the Boardercross Funpark at the Tressdorferalm and the Snowboard-Park Twinpipe at the Gartnerkofel.
Off The Slopes
The local area offers a variety of evening entertainments for our groups including bowling, swimming and ice-skating.
