Les Orres is in the Southern Alps and has been a popular choice with schools since our Directors introduced it to British skiers way back in 1985! A compact resort, beginners are well catered for with great nursery slopes which reach down into the village. Intermediate skiers will undoubtedly delight in many long runs through the forest and advanced skiers can test their skills on 'L'Horrible' piste, designed to scare! A good all round choice for schools.
Choose this resort for:
An excellent range of nursery and intermediate slopes.
Efficient lift system combined with doorstep skiing.
On The Slopes
Wide, gentle slopes above the village provide the setting for beginners to start learning the basics, and there's a good variety of easy pistes - blue and green - for them to enjoy on the sunny hillside.
Intermediates will enjoy extensive red runs through a range of terrains, from winding descents through the trees - and back to the village - to stunning high level skiing from Grand Vallon and Petit Vallon, at 2600m. The Grand Cabane runs through the forests and ends up back at the resort - after 6km, making it one of the longest pistes in the Southern Alps!
Experienced skiers will enjoy the challenge of three black pistes - including one whose difficulty can be judged by its name... L'Horrible! There is also a snowboard park with good facilities.
Off The Slopes
Shops, cafés and discos are all in good supply - and there is also a bowling alley and a cinema in the resort. Les Orres has all the facilities your group needs for an excellent all-round ski holiday experience.
