On The Slopes
Over the past few years the resort has undergone some terrific expansion, cutting new trails, upgrading their lift system and developing a lively resort village at the foot of the mountain including some great outdoor activities such as an ice skating rink and 'Slide Mountain' snow tubing hill.
At a base elevation of 7800 ft it's no wonder the skiing's great! With a nationally recognised beginners area, long and fun blue cruisers for intermediates, and unparalleled expert terrain, Kirkwood has it all including crowd-free slopes!
Off The Slopes
Activities include Outdoor ice skating, snow tubing, evening trips to South Lake Tahoe including amusement arcades, cinema, indoor ice skating and ten-pin bowling. Weekly disco on the lake paddle steamer, as well as day trips to Virginia City, Carson City or Grover Hot Springs.
