This fabulous world class resort offers a huge expanse and variety of skiing and snowboarding over its seven mountains. It is the largest mountain resort in New England, earning its reputation as the "Beast of the East".
With 87 miles of trails, an average annual snowfall of over 21 feet and major snow making facilities, skiing can continue well into May.
On The Slopes
Killington boasts some 200 trails offering access to every peak in the area for all levels of skiers and boarders.
The undulating and well maintained terrain provides a perfect introduction for first year skiers. After gaining their basic skills in the "Snowshed" learn-to-ski-area, the possibilities are boundless. With well groomed runs like "Juggernaut", winding 10 miles through the trees from the top of Killington Peak to the Skyeship station (the world's first heated gondola), it is hardly surprising that groups return year after year.
Advanced Skiers will revel in the huge variety of steep slopes on offer and for those skiers who do not shy away from a few "head-plants", the challenge of the moguls on the "Outer Limits" is there for the taking.
Snowboarders will enjoy an exhaustive amount of freeriding with deep powder, tree runs and natural gullies. Alternatively, try the public boardercross course on Middle Dream Maker that often hosts the Swatch/Palmer Boardercross Series.
Off The Slopes
The nearby town of Rutland, where many of our groups are accommodated, provides a good selection of amenities with a shopping mall, 9 screen cinema, 32 lane bowling alley, indoor rock climbing and ice skating. Shopping day trip excursions to Manchester or Lake George factory outlets are also available.
