Cavalese is one of the 11 resorts that make up the Val di Fiemme ski area in the Italian Dolomites.
Located by the beautiful Alpe Cermis, this resort offers a good range of skiing on 70kms of local slopes
and is particularly suited to beginners and novices.
Choose this resort for:
Good range of local skiing.
Excellent snow record.
On The Slopes
The area has a combined total of 150kms of piste and for those wishing to explore further afield the massive
Sella Ronda circuit is close by. Groups take a cable car to most of the runs and there are some breathtaking
views to enjoy along the way. The ski area has mainly north facing slopes meaning Cavalese has an excellent
snow record.
The resort has recently invested heavily in an array of superb new lifts including a cable car linking Ponte di Legno and Tonale and a cable car providing up to 1800 skiers an hour access to the glacier from the northern ski area of Tonale.
Off The Slopes
Cavalese is an old, medieval village and provides a quiet, safe place for school groups to stay. The cobbled
streets of the old village centre are charming and offer a good range of cafes, restaurants and pizzerias. Après
ski is low key but there is an ice rink and a swimming pool for groups to enjoy. Overall the town has a very
friendly feel and a traditional Italian atmosphere.
