On The Slopes
Bardonecchia is divided into three main ski areas; the Cresta Seba and
Colomion areas interlink to form an excellent ski region with a well
designed lift system, a superb variety of runs, suiting all grades and a
highly commended ski school.
The third area, the Jafferau, has snow sure
slopes and is particularly suited to beginners and intermediates. There is a
total of 140km of marked runs, with thrilling skiing on narrow trails
through larch forests and wide, open snow fields between the five peaks of
the region.
Advanced skiers enjoy a choice of black runs both at altitude
and close to the village as well as varied off-piste skiing.
Off The Slopes
Bardonecchia has a notable après-ski scene in both the cobbled, winding
streets of the old quarter and its more modern village area. There are eight
bars and a good selection of restaurants serving both traditional Italian
and fast food. Recreational amenities include a sports centre, gym, indoor
swimming pool and an ice rink.
