SkiPlan
offers a choice of departure airports with flights from nine UK airports and regular flight departures throughout the 2008 winter sports season.
SkiPlan Flights
Our flights are operated by well known and reliable airlines including Monarch Airlines using Boeing 757 and Airbus A300 aircraft. We also offer scheduled flights with EasyJet, Jet 2, Ryanair and British Airways.
French Alps
GATWICK, LUTON & STANSTED VIA

Friday departures from 12th December to 10th April and on Saturdays from 13th December to 11th April.

Flights operate from London Stansted or Gatwick on Saturdays from 13th December to 11th April.
Italian Alps

Flights operate from Stansted, Luton, Liverpool, Newcastle and Glasgow on Saturdays or Sundays from 14 December to 12 April.
Swiss Alps
SWISS TOURS VIA GENEVA/ZURICH/BASLE
Flights operate from London Stansted, Gatwick and Manchester on Saturdays from 13 Dec to 11 Apr.

Air Passenger Duty
The UK Government announced on the 6th December that Airport Passenger Duty (APD) would be increased by £5 per person on all flights to Europe for departures from 1st February 2007, and £20 per person for USA / Canada flights. This charge may not appear on initial costings, but will be shown on the final confirmation invoice.
Flight Times
All SkiPlan charters are day flights, normally leaving the UK in the early morning and enabling groups to arrive in resort in the early afternoon for ski fit and lift pass issue. However, slot times are not allocated to airlines until some time after this brochure goes to press. We will therefore notify you of flight timings as soon as practically possible.
Airport Check-In Times
Due to increased airport security we recommend that you check-in at least
3 hours before departure. SkiPlan representatives will normally be on hand to assist with the formalities.
Hand Baggage
Since Monday 6th November 2006, the UK Department for Transport (DFT) and the European Union (EU) have adopted new security rules that will allow a restricted amount of liquids with hand baggage through security search points provided specific restrictions can be met.
It is important that Party Leaders check the current baggage restrictions with the corresponding air line carrier / website before travelling.
It is also important that your group arrive at least 3 hours prior to departure to allow extra time for additional security checks.
Luggage Allowance
Full details of your baggage allowance will be printed on your tickets.
Although subject to change, at the time of going to press, Monarch and Easyjet are operating with a baggage allowance of 20 kilos per person, and RyanAir is 15 kilos per person for checked-in luggage. In addition to this, Monarch allow one small item of hand luggage weighing no more than 5kg (RyanAir allow 10kg) to be taken into the aircraft cabin. EasyJet and Jet 2 have an allowance of 20 kilos per person plus one item of hand luggage (maximum dimensions 55x40x20cms). All relevant allowances will be confirmed with your final itinerary.
Ski Carriage
Skis or snowboards can be checked in for the flight on payment of a £20 per item ski carriage charge.
In Flight Catering
Our charter flights include refreshments on both flight sectors. On EasyJet, Jet 2 and Ryanair flights refreshments can be purchased from the cabin crew.
Group Names and Changes
To secure flight seats, we request the names of all party members at the time of your booking confirmation.
It is the Party Leaders responsibility to ensure that ALL names given are in full and exactly as shown on the individuals passport.
We do not accept any responsibility for incorrect/abbreviated names submitted and any subsequent amendments will be dealt with as a name change.
Where a name change can be made, all costs and charges incurred by us and/or incurred or imposed by any of our suppliers as a result together with the applicable amendment fee as stated below must be paid before the transfer can be effected.
Once the airline have received and processed the names, any subsequent amendments or name changes will carry a minimum charge of £100 plus a payment of £19 to cover the new Insurance premium.
Any name change alterations made by you within 4 weeks of departure will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and will be subject to the cancellation charges. If you wish to add a replacement then the full cost of the holiday is payable. Please read our Fair Trading Agreement.
The SkiPlan Welcome
On arrival at your overseas airport you will normally be met by a SkiPlan representative or agent for your coach transfer to your resort. Approximate transfer times are given below but please note that these vary depending upon traffic and weather conditions.

Free Coach Transfers to UK
Airports Return coach to a London airport departure point (only) from mainland England & Wales (only) is based on a minimum of 40 full paying members.
Passports and Visas
It is the Party Leader's responsibility to ensure that all members of their party have a valid passport and/or a visa when applicable. All British Citizens (including children and infants) require a full British passport to travel. If you or any member of your party is not a British citizen or holds a non British passport, you must check passport and visa requirements with the Embassy or Consulate of the country(ies) to, or through which, you are intending to travel. A collective passport can be used for the majority of European countries. An application form can be obtained from the Passport Office. The cost of the collective passport is not included in the tour price.
